Mastodon includes a built-in post scheduling system, which lets you create posts that will be automatically published at certain times and dates. However, you need to use a third party app to access this system.

Yeah, there's no official interface for it. I think it's just because the developers have limited resources and other things have been higher priorities.
(In a way though it's good that this encourages people to use third party apps.)
